Present Indefinite/Simple Tense

We use simple tense a lot in our daily life. Learning this tense is very important. It is the first tense and comes on top of the list of the twelve tenses. Definition in Urdu

موجودہ زمانے میں کسی کام کے کرنے یا ہونے کے لیے یہ ٹینس استعمال ہوتا ہے۔ مثلاً ‘وہ کام کرتا ہے’

Recognition in Urdu

جملے کے آخر میں تا ہے، تی ہے، تے ہیں، تا ہوں، آتا ہے

Tip

اگر فاعل وہ یا واحد اسم ہو جیسے (علی، لڑکا، لڑکی وغیرہ) تو جملہ بنانے کا طریقہ

Simple Sentence

Structure

Subject + First Form of Verb + s/es + Object

He/She/It/Singular Noun | works./eats./drinks./blinks.

Negative Sentence

Structure

Subject + Does not + First Form of Verb + Object

He/She/It/Singular Noun ————–> Does not ————-> work./drink./eat.

Interrogative Sentences

Structure

Helping Verb + Subject + First Form of Object + Object

Does + He/She/It/Singular Noun + Work?/Sleep?/Grow?

Negative-Interrogative Sentences

Structure

Does + Subject + not + First Form of Verb + Object

Does + He/She/It/Singular Noun + not + work?/eat?/sleep?/grow?

Tip

اگر فاعل یہ ہوں یا جمع اسم ہو مثلاً (لڑکے، لڑکیاں، وغیرہ) ہو تو جملہ بنانے کا طریقہ مندرجہ ذیل ہے۔

Where Is It Used?
عادت ظاہر کرنے کے لیے

He walks early in the morning.

عموماً سچائی کے لیے

The flowers give sweet smell.

Parents love their children.

موجودہ زمانے میں تعجبی جملوں کے لئے، ایسے فقرے میں استعمال ہوتا ہے، مثلاً

Here wins Pakistan!

There comes my brother!

If he works hard, he will succeed.

I will not help you until you request.

مستقبل کا ایسا واقعہ جس کا وقت مقرر ہو

He takes the examination next month.

He leaves for Lahore tomorrow morning.

Ali lives at Lahore.

Zafar teaches Urdu.
