Definition in Urdu
ایسا فعل جو ماضی میں شروع ہوا ہو اور موجودہ وقت تک جاری ہو۔ جیسا کہ یہ فعل اپنے نام ‘پر فیکٹ کنٹینوس’ سے ظاہر کرتا ہے کہ کام کا کچھ حصہ تو مکمل ہو چکا ہے مگر کام ابھی بھی جاری ہے۔ مثلاً ‘میں دس سال سے کالج میں پڑھا رہا ہوں۔’ دس سال مکمل ہو چکے ہیں مگر پڑھانا ابھی بھی جاری ہے۔
Recognition in Urdu
جملے کے آخر میں ‘تا رہا ہے، ‘تے رہی ہے، ‘تے رہے ہوں، ‘تا رہا ہوں، ‘تے رہے ہو، وغیرہ آتا ہے۔ مثلاً ‘وہ گانا گاتا رہا ہے۔’
یا
جملے کے آخر میں ‘رہا ہے، رہی ہے، رہے ہو، رہے ہیں، رہا ہوں’ وغیرہ کا استعمال ہوتا ہے، اور وقت کا ذکر مثلاً ‘وہ صبح سے کتاب پڑھ رہا ہے۔’
