The present perfect tense is the third tense in the row of twelve tenses and is very useful for learning English. This tense is amazing because it talks about the work that has been completed. Definition in Urdu

یہ فعل موجودہ زمانے میں کسی کام کے مکمل ہونے کو ظاہر کرتا ہے۔ مثلاً، “وہ آ چکا ہے۔” یا “وہ آ گیا ہے۔”

Structure

Subject + Helping Verb + Third Form of Verb + Object

He/She/It/Singular Noun + has + come./learn./grow.

I/We/You/They/Plural Noun + have + come./educate./run./sleep.

Negative Sentences

Structure

Subject + Helping Verb + not + Third Form of Verb + Object

He/She/It/Singular Noun + has + not + come./grow./fun./simple.

I/We/You/They/Plural Noun + have + not + shine./bloom./educate./run.

Interrogative Sentences

Structure

Helping Verb + Subject + Third Form of Verb + Object

Has + he/she/it/Singular Noun + come?/learn?/educate?/sleep?

Have + I/We/You/They/Plural Noun + come?/learn?/run?/fun?

Negative-Interrogative Sentences

Structure

Helping Verb + Subject + not + Third Form of Verb + Object

Has + he/she/it/Singular Noun + not + come?/eat?/learn?

Have + I/We/You/They/Plural Noun + not + eat?/come?/learn?/grow?

(a) He has just arrived.

(b) I have just finished this novel.

ماضی میں کوئی ایسا کام جس کے کرنے کا کوئی خاص وقت معلوم نہ ہو۔(ii)

(a) I have never read, “Macbeth”.

(b) Have you ever met Ali?

ماضی کا ایسا واقعہ جس کے آثار حال میں ظاہر ہوں۔(iii)

(a) The sun has risen. (i.e. it is light all around.)

(b) I have solved the riddle. (= now I’m relaxed.)

ایسا کام جو ماضی میں شروع ہوا ہو اور حال میں ابھی تک جاری ہو۔(iv)

(a) Abid has not met us for a long time.

(b) I have taught in this college for nine years.

مندرجہ ذیل عموماً اسی زمانے میں  استعمال ہوتی ہیں۔(v)
